Requirements for Studying in Canada

  • IELTS: Minimum score of 6.0 to 6.5 bands.
  • Bank Statement: Proof of funds between 20 to 25 lac PKR.
  • Tuition Fees: Ranging from 12,000 CAD to 20,000 CAD per year.

Visa Process for Students from Pakistan to Study in Canada

  1. Apply to a University: Choose your preferred institution in Canada and apply to the program of your choice. Upon acceptance, the university will provide a Letter of Acceptance for your visa application.
  2. Prepare Required Documents: Gather all necessary documents for the visa application, including:
    • Valid passport (with at least 1 year of validity)
    • Letter of Acceptance from the Canadian institution
    • Completed visa application form
    • Proof of financial means to support yourself during your studies
    • Proof of accommodation in Canada
    • Medical insurance covering the duration of your stay
    • Police clearance certificate from Pakistan
    • IELTS test results
    • Passport-sized photographs
  3. Visa Application Submission: Submit your visa application at the nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate in Pakistan.
  4. Attend a Visa Interview (if required): Some applicants may need to attend a visa interview to discuss their study plans and financial capabilities.
  5. Wait for Visa Approval: After submitting the application and attending an interview (if required), the visa processing time can take several weeks. Authorities will verify documents during this time.
  6. Post-Visa Approval: Once the visa is approved, the student can make travel arrangements to Canada. Upon arrival, students must register with local authorities and the university.

Additional Notes:

  • Part-time Work: International students can typically work part-time during their studies, usually up to 20 hours per week.
  • Residence Permit: After arriving, students must apply for a study permit, allowing them to legally reside in Canada during their studies.
