Requirements for Studying in the UK

  • Foundation Programs: IELTS UKVI 5.0 bands.
  • Bachelor Programs: IELTS UKVI 5.5 to 6.0 bands.
  • Master Programs: IELTS UKVI 6.5 bands.
  • Bank Statement: 35 to 40 lac PKR on personal account for 28 days.
  • Tuition Fees: Ranges from 8,000 GBP to 16,000 GBP per year.
  • Without IELTS: Option available for 16 years degree holders or those scoring 140 to 200 marks in HSSC English.

Visa Process for Students from Pakistan to Study in the UK

  1. Apply to a University: Choose your preferred institution in the UK and apply to the program of your choice. Once accepted, the university will provide a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for your visa application.
  2. Prepare Required Documents: Gather all necessary documents for the visa application, including:
    • Valid passport (with at least 1 year of validity)
    • Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the UK institution
    • Completed visa application form
    • Proof of financial means to support yourself during your studies
    • Proof of accommodation in the UK
    • Medical insurance covering the duration of your stay
    • Passport-sized photographs
  3. Visa Application Submission: Submit your visa application online or at the nearest UK Embassy or Consulate.
  4. Attend a Visa Interview (if required): Some applicants may need to attend a visa interview to discuss their study plans and financial capabilities.
  5. Wait for Visa Approval: After submitting the application and attending an interview (if required), the visa processing time can vary. Authorities will verify documents during this time.
  6. Post-Visa Approval: Once the visa is approved, the student can make travel arrangements to the UK. Upon arrival, students must register with local authorities and the university.

Additional Notes:

  • Part-time Work: International students can typically work up to 20 hours per week during their studies.
  • Graduate Route: After completing a degree, students may be eligible to apply for a post-study work visa, allowing them to work in the UK for up to two years.
